Everytimes when I see this word, I wonder whether this is the best description? 人之初，性本善. No doubt he committed a major crime, killing and seriously injuring at least dozen of innocent people. However, with my weak understanding of the cause and what happened, he was dismissed as a policeman(no one know why and what happened to his job in those corruptive place) and therefore no longer entitle for his pension, and he is simply demanding some reasonable amount of money as his retirement pension. Even at the early stage of the seize, he was quite gentle and not hoping the situation to get any worse. In my point of view, before he fired his first bullet, he was simply a man who lost his job and pension he worked for all over his life due to the corruptive government and society, and demanding what he deserves. It was only when his simple demand is rejected and his brother was arrested which escalated the tension unnecessarily. This is not a one person fault but the fault of whole Philippine society…
