I guess I should have a brief description of the courses I have taken and will be examined soon this year. This desription should be readable to layman which does not do physics.
1-Space Physics

Study of plasma(fourth state of matter besides gas, liquid and solid) in space, which has both electric and magnetic field, for example, Sun. Sun has magnetic field at spots, and also has corona(Sun’s atmosphere) loop which plasma follow the loop and has a special formation. Sun has solar wind as ejecting particle, this solar wind on one side comes to the Earth and affect the shape of our magnetic field, on another side it balances out with outer space particle(Interstellar Medium). And also how does the Coronal Mass Ejections(CME) behaves in a rotating Sun.

2-Cosmology

I took this course because of my interest in cosmology, the past, and the destiny of it. In Einstein Field Equation, there exists one of the solution known as Friedmann Equation, derived in 1922, which arised from Friedmann-LemaƮtre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) metric, which describe a homogeneous and isotropic Universe. This solution govern the whole behaviour of our Universe, expansion or contraction, however, depends on a few free parameter(free parameter means parameter which are abitrary and can not be predict, it must be measured[prehaps set by God], eg, electron charge), curvature of spacetime and cosmology constant, which defines the geometry of the space-time and the strength of the so-called dark-energy. These two parameters is observed and found that the macro state of the Universe is flat, which is a surprised, and dark-energy is out of 10^(120) magnitude from expectation. This cosmology constant is one of the cosmology mystery. Finally also CMB(cosmic microwave background radiation), which detail measurement were made few years ago by WMAP, the temperature at each direction of sky were measured, found that even two separated points in sky has never have physical contact(expansion>speed of light), they have the same temperature, weird?

3-Optical Communication Physics

Rather enginneering course. Learnt very basic information theory, AM and FM(ampitude and frequency modulation)

4-General Relativity(GR)

Understand what is metic, which is to describe the geometry. This allows the study of how does particle and light behaviour, as every motion which do no work, eg, free falling, is purely a consequence of our geodesic, which is the a path in space-time which has the minimum action. The study of geometry(differential geometry) is fascinating, one of the most difficult branch in maths. This subject study behaviour of curved space, for example, in a curved space, direction of a vector is meaningless, because direction change along the vector itself. One of the most important person in this field is Riemann, Riemann Tensor.

5-Quantum Field Theory(QFT)

In contrast with GR, this looks at much smaller physics. This topic is study of field in quantum world. In contrast with QM(0+1)D, QFT is (1+3)D[former is time dimension later is spatial], and this is Lorentz Invariant, which means this quantum theory agrees with Special Relativity. In this course, we talked about arise of infinite gound state energy which is ignored by reordering of the creation and annihilation operators[Normal ordering]. This gound state energy exist in real world, however, in real world, everytime when measurement of energy is needed, only difference in energy is measured, this avoids the complication of infinite gound state energy. We talked about both the scalar field and Dirac field(spin half)[for particle of spin half, eg, electron], Feynmann Proporgator and interaction finally.
