The Chinese are coming

Watched this program, I enjoyed it. Perhaps because I am Chinese, I do not see the growth of China posing a threat for other countries, and China has shown nothing but welcome toward overseas companies which has been operating and generating massive profit in China in the past 30 years. In addition, China has been a peace driven country according to history, at least it would not invade other country with war for disagreements or advantages. US blame China for their weak economy, however, it seems to me it was their investment banks who drilled a big hole in their economy by evaporating 8millions job in 2 years.

Parking Space

Arriving late at Manchester China Town for a dinner, spent about 5mins looking for parking space. I saw a Chinese family just came out of the restaurant, I waited and hoped to park at their space when they are leaving. He looked at me, and said to me “if you go around this one way street, I will wait for you at my space”. I do what he said, he saw me happily, and waved at me. I waved back, and said “thank you very much”. He slowly drive off, and again wave at me at the driver seat. He was very helpful, I appreciate it, thanks!

Top Gear lazy mexican joke

My Mexican friends got very angry about this joke on Facebook. I do not think they need to be that angry, as no one really care or believe this sort of jokes they say, and in many case they also laughed at UK or British, which is they own country and nationality.

恭喜發財

I never like saying “恭喜發財”, which means “congratulate getting wealthy/rich”, everytime I hear it, it reminds me how much attention Chinese put on money, which is a shame. The fact that you congratulate someone getting rich which has not happened and might not be happening is kind of counter intuitive to me. And who ever married need to give red pocket money to those who aren’t drive the children to take advantages or become greedy and materialistic. Nevertheless, wish everyone

事事順利 – Every problems solved without worry
